When Do We Become The Boring Half?

So lately I have been thinking seriously on marital issues and while it is not the first time I'm thinking about such deep maters, my focus, or should I call it recent concern, has been about boring couples, actually, boring wives. After allowing work take the better of me for years, I began to socialise more early last year. I went out more to places like clubs, the beach, swimming and birthday parties of friends. In that time, I discovered that I really knew how to have fun and not just be the workaholic I was slowly turning into then. Going out mostly at night exposed me to a lot. The nightlife in Lagos is perhaps just as busy as the day life only that this time, people were 'working hard' to relax and enjoy the money they sweated for. It is usually where you see the Queens and Kings of the night, gracing the streets, bars and clubs to entertain the mere mortals of the day. Honestly, it is always fun. But looking back at the calibre of people I have had the opportunity ...

I've Raised A Legend: An Open Letter To My Sister.

So on Saturday, the 19th of September 2020, my younger sister graduated from high school. I have had several proud moments of her but I think this one excites me the most. Comfort, my sister spent 6 years in Holy Child College, Ikoyi, Lagos state and came out as one of the best graduating students as well bagging the award of "Neatest Student", an award she was won three times amongst others. This graduation was supposed to happen earlier in the year but thanks to the Corona virus pandemic, not only was it delayed, but it was also low key with the school allowing just one parent to represent their child or ward. Being the cool sister that I am, she chose me to represent her, (yeah, I'm cool like that). But the unique thing about her set is that this is the second pandemic they are witnessing in their lifetime. This graduating set were also affected by the Ebola pandemic which hit Nigeria in the year 2014 and of course, their academic session was also affected. (legends i...

Ugu, lime and Banana So I'm back on the weight loss journey again. (I know, don't even start with me guys, it's not been easy) I somehow realised that I have been trying it the wrong way. It happens that I have not exactly been losing weight but maintaining weight. I know it sounds crazy because we only know Ugu to be cooked for soup and sometimes for other foods but basically, cooked. You should, however, not shut down this recipe, because it is great, I am going to list below, some of the already known health benefits of Ugu and then the recipe. Keep reading. Do Waist Trainer Only Work On Celebrities?

The battle of trying to stay in shape is one that I have been fighting for the longest, I mean, I went from being a size 6 to size 14 in the blink of an eye and I have been fighting to remain between 12 and 10 at the least, that is the battle. Between 2014 and 2015, I weighed between 60-64 kg with a body that could fit into a size 8 dress comfortably, by 2016 I weighed 90 kg with a body that could fit into a 14 dress. It was a sad moment in my life, a moment where I lost myself simply let myself get swallowed up by what seemed like a series of misfortune in my life. Before the end of 2016 however, I had dropped to 80 kg with a body that bore bruises (Stretchmarks) from some of life's most unfair events, story for another day. Since that time till now, I have consciously made attempts to get my body in shape, in-between that, I tried various types of tummy belts which i mostly purchased online. Every time a new belt was delivered to me, it just never met my expectations so I...

Ease On Lockdown- I Ain't Ready.

So the government have announced an ease on the lock down being observed starting from May 4th, this means that we can finally go back to our various jobs and get a chance to do some of the things that we are used to doing. The lock down has not been called off completely, this is just to ease it so that certain industries that contribute to the social and economic development of the country can resume their functionalities. In the past month of this lock down, my friends and I joined the bandwagon of people complaining about boredom from staying home all day, some complained about hunger and few more complained about the "work from home" system, saying it was more demanding than working from the office. As a radio show host presenter that I am, I certainly find working from home more tedious than actually being in the studio. The radio has been running shows which requires that presenters record their programs at home and send over to the studio. For this, I have suff...

Easter On Lockdown.

Easter is a time when Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is a yearly celebration that reminds us of the love, sacrifice and living miracle that we enjoy as children of God. For as long as I can remember, Easter is one of those holidays that I look forward to after Christmas, this is due to the amazing reenacting of Christ's experience on earth; from the triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the crucifixion of Jesus and His resurrection. Easter has always been memorable. One of the most beautiful part of Easter for me is the Sunday morning, that is literary the only time I get to see a real life donkey because donkeys aren't very popular in Nigeria. Unfortunately, this year's Easter celebration will not be observed like the years before due to a world wide pandemic caused by the outbreak of Corona virus throughout several countries in the world. This is probably the most unusual Easter ever. People are expected to stay in their houses...
